“I am OCD-free”

I’m not going to sugarcoat anything here and give you the real deal. Because it is ultimately how I freed myself, or rather, discovered I was actually free in the first place. Free to live my life however I want to live it.

What I craved for years was to allow myself to live out my dreams instead of making my life’s aim be to prevent my worst nightmares from coming to fruition.

So that’s what I did: I began living led by desire. I stopped resisting life. I stopped perpetually trying to “solve my problems” (they were only problems because I BELIEVED they were [hint: everything is an experience]).

It was (and constantly is) a CHOICE. To not check one more time “just in case”. To not place those objects “perfectly”. To purposely seek (what we humanly consider to be) uncertainty and imperfection.

Essentially, it is about who you’re BEING. Being the person who has the life you want. More so than how, WHO is the OCD-free version of me? Or, better yet, take OCD out of the picture: how do I, embodying my desired identity here and now (I am fulfilled, I am prosperous, I am tenacious and resilient…), carry myself throughout the days and within life’s multiple aspects?

Embodying my desired identity was and is the best decision I took and continue to take. I am now living a life I didn’t even think was possible for me before, a life that seemed so out of reach. I can wholeheartedly say I am happy and fulfilled, and so excited to be alive!

And this is why I do the work I do now. I am passionate about showing others what they are inherently capable of. Showing them that they have the complete ability to change their life right now as they are, no matter their background. That they can live the life they want—it IS absolutely possible.

If you are inspired and want to reach out to me, feel free to do so! I am always eager and joyful to connect with others and serve them to the best of my abilities 😊 Also, let me know in the comments what you thought of this post, did it resonate with you?

With love, Arella
